There are many different methods and ideas for dog training, just as there are many different breeds and types of dogs, including hunting dogs. However, most basics and fundamentals for training are the same and revolve around the crucial aspect of communication. When your dog understands what you want from him and what you expect, he performs with confidence and trust. This applies to basic life and working relationships.

Through Vickie Lamb's approach to dogs and training, each dog learns to count on his trainer, his significant person, for everything, including comfort, care and maintenance and also fairness and consistency in training. She uses her years of experience to benefit dogs and their owners by supplying answers to everything from basic questions to advanced training scenarios.

How do dogs communicate amongst themselves? Vickie has studied this phenomenon and brings it to her approach to communication and to training as a whole. In order to train a dog, she emphasizes that you must establish yourself as the one in control of all things. A dog respects dominance, but this does not translate into being domineering and overbearing; rather, it becomes a matter of respect and ultimately, trust. This involves not only training, but wellness and daily care.
